Athlete running on a treadmill during a VO2 Max test

VO₂ Max

A VO₂ Max test measures how effectively your body uses oxygen during exercise, giving you a clear picture of your fitness level and a baseline to work from.

What is VO₂ Max?

VO₂ Max measures the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during exercise.

It provides a direct measure of your cardiorespiratory fitness and your body’s ability to meet physical demands.

Unlike estimates from watches and fitness trackers, a VO₂ Max test measures your body’s response directly.

Why have one?

Your VO₂ Max is an important measure of your overall fitness and is strongly associated with long-term health and longevity.

Knowing your VO₂ Max gives you a clear baseline, helping you understand your current fitness level, identify where there’s room for improvement and track how it changes over time.

You don’t need to be an athlete. VO₂ Max is relevant to anyone who wants to better understand their fitness and how their body is changing as they age.

VO2 Max benefits: measure aerobic fitness, know your heart rate zones, set your fitness baseline, train at the right intensity

VO₂ Max

The maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during exercise, giving you a direct measure of your aerobic fitness.

Heart Rate Zones

Personalized heart rate zones based on how your body responds as exercise intensity increases.

Fitness Baseline

A clear measure of where your fitness is today, giving you a baseline to work from and compare against in the future.

Training Intensity

See how your body responds at different levels of effort, helping you understand the intensity that’s right for you.

Your Results

Your VO₂ Max report goes beyond a single fitness score, showing how your body responds as exercise intensity increases.

It measures your maximum oxygen uptake alongside heart rate, power, ventilation, breathing rate and tidal volume. It also identifies your VT1 and VT2 ventilatory thresholds, showing the points where your breathing and energy demands begin to change as exercise becomes more intense.

Your results are benchmarked to show how your VO₂ Max compares, giving you detailed data you can use to understand your current fitness and measure change over time.
